About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Omaha’s historic Old Market district, M's Pub offers a timeless American dining experience that beautifully balances comfort and culinary creativity. Since its founding in the 1970s, this beloved establishment has been a staple for locals and visitors alike, boasting a menu that showcases both classic and adventurous dishes crafted with care and originality.

M's Pub's cuisine is an impressive celebration of American flavors with an eclectic twist. Popular dishes like the Surf and Turf deliver a sumptuous pairing of land and sea, while the Crab Cakes offer a delicate, savory bite that’s perfectly seasoned. For those seeking comforting warmth, the rich Onion Soup and velvety Mashed Potatoes provide soul-satisfying satisfaction. The menu’s diverse offerings extend to international influences, such as the Asian Chicken Satay and Potstickers, which lend a deliciously exotic edge to the pub’s profile.

Signature sandwiches like the Omaha Grill—a harmonious blend of roast beef, red onion, and provolone cheese on sourdough with a creamy horseradish sauce—showcase the kitchen’s knack for elevating traditional pub fare. The Italian sandwich, stacked with pepperoni, capicolla, salami, and provolone served alongside a zesty banana pepper aioli, is bursting with bold and satisfying flavors. Vegetarians will appreciate the Nature Sandwich, a fresh medley of tomato, cucumber, avocado, sprouts, Swiss, and cream cheese on pumpernickel, embodying freshness and texture in every bite.

Desserts like the luscious Carrot Cake and silky Crème Brulée offer sweet finales that linger delightfully on the palate, reinforcing the pub’s commitment to both hearty and refined experiences. Complementing the food, M’s Pub serves an array of beverages—from organic coffee and espresso drinks to classic cocktails such as Margaritas and expertly crafted mezcal concoctions—that perfectly round out any meal.

The atmosphere at M's Pub is an inviting blend of airy openness and cozy charm, creating a perfect setting for casual dinners, lively evenings at the bar, or special occasions. Remarkably, even after a fire gutted the original building, M’s was meticulously rebuilt to replicate its warm, nostalgic interiors, preserving the spirit that has charmed patrons for decades.

Customer experiences underscore this unique blend of tradition and excellence. One guest fondly recalled how M’s was their first stop upon arriving in Omaha, praising it as a “nostalgic, Old Marketchic place” that has truly stood the test of time. Another review highlights the friendly and attentive service, specifically naming server Megan for her warm presence, which enhanced their adventurous journey through the menu—from tantalizing potstickers to the delightful Shades of Grey cocktail.

Whether seated at the bustling bar or tucked away at a table, guests consistently rave about the bold, memorable flavors and the engaging atmosphere. The pub's legendary Surf and Turf earned accolades as perhaps the “best in town,” while creative dishes like the Thai lavosh keep diners coming back for more.

M’s Pub isn’t just a restaurant or bar; it’s a cherished Omaha institution that promises a rich, flavorful journey through American and international cuisine, paired with an ambiance that makes every visit feel like a special occasion. For anyone craving authentic American classics with a sophisticated twist and a welcoming vibe, M’s Pub delivers an experience that warms the heart and delights the senses.

M's Pub is a staple of American Cuisine in the Old Market. Even after a fire gutted it, it was completely replaced to its exact original. The food is, as it always has been, full of flavor and originality. Our service was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is both airy and cozy. I enjoyed my drinks (one tequila with prickly pear, the other mezcal based) which were original and played nicely with my dinner. The Duck Poutine has incredible flavor and could easily be a meal in itself. The Shepard's Pie on special was rich and hearty with perfectly tender beef, a rich mushroom gravy, and complimentary light pastry top. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong here - excellent restaurant!

Really great food, excellent service and nice atmosphere. Pretty noisy when packed . I don't even remember what this was called but it's roast beef and a horseradish cream on a crispy flatbread. Also had several appetizers, everything was great!

Wow! I was blown away with the food and the service at M’s. The menu kinda scared me but I decided to be adventurous. The breakfast for dinner was amazing! The lahvosh and potstickers were incredible. My favorite drink was the Shades of Grey! Megan was our server. She was attentive and just really great to talk to!

What can I say but that I love M’s Pub. When I get off the plane in Omaha it’s my first stop! It’s a nostalgic, Old Market-chic place that has been around since the 70’s and has never gone out of style. To know the original M’s was burned to a shell then rebuilt exactly as you see it today is beyond amazing and a miracle!!! Great food, great atmosphere, classic cocktails and drinks-the place is just magical. Service can sometimes be a little slow but always nice and welcoming. My favorite hang out, never rushed.

Stopped in after reservations fell through someplace else. Gladly took a seat at the bar. The surf and turf was incredible. Maybe best in town. The Thai lavosh was almost just as good. Our bartender Presley was wonderful. We will absolutely come back next time we’re in town. right

Cool little bar. Lots of sandwich (hot and cold) options, as well as salads. Wasn't feeling that though, so I was very happy to see their dinner special menu. Friend got a patty melt, it was huge!! Bread was soft and tasty, came with two patties. I got the duck poutine. It was probably one of the lighter poutines I've ever had. The cherry sauce with the lighter gravy, made it so good. Duck was fall apart tender. The bar menu was good. They had a filthy dirty martini that I will literally come back and seek out when I'm in town next. Pretty busy, but we were able to get a seat at the bar.

Lives up to the hype. Tried the Omaha lavosh, was delicious. Reasonably priced high quality menu options, professional staff, beautiful historical building, great lighting and ambience. Loved it. Will have to come back and try more of their food.
